After Age of Calamity (which I like a lot, actually), it'd be an even bigger plot twist if this followed the original timeline and wasn't an alternate history created through time travel shenanigans.

The fact that they are emphasizing that this game is "canon" tells me it's more likely to not be another Age of Calamity

It's a prequel to Tears of the Kingdom, so Link shouldn't be available (notice his absence in trailers). That bit at the end looks basically like a "Link golem," so a way to have Link's move set without having Link.

I guess that's something. Link and Impa for me were the only characters that were fun to play in the last game. Zelda was not fun to use at all. And she was great in the first Hyrule Warriors game but implenting Breath of the Wild moves in Age of Calamity didn't work for me at all.
