Hopefully, fans of Bae Doona's work (assuming they're aware of this film) in those 2 areas will get chance to watch it, and maybe it can be a sell-out given that she's more famous and well-known in the states and internationally then back in 2005 (when the film came out). I mean back in 2005, K-pop and K-drama were more niche then anime and manga in the US (I'm not making this up). So she was really a big unknown back then, and fast forward today and thanks to K-pop and K-drama's popularity and her role in Netflix's Sense8, she is now more well-known internationally. I'm hoping her new fame could help Linda Linda Linda get a new audience and maybe send a message to the director and the people who did the film that the film has an audience outside of Japan. |
