I don't know how far you got in Liar Game, but if this is your main problem (that Akiyama is too much smarter than everyone else), I should note that the Contraband game, which starts on episode 11 and will encompass most or maybe all of the second half of this season, should do a lot to solve this issue. A new antagonist is introduced who is a legitimate challenge to Akiyama.

Actually, aside from complaints about the way the series looks, I think most of the criticisms I'm seeing here of Liar Game should be solved or at least alleviated in the second half of this season.

Yes, I'm up to date with the anime, I've met guy with a mouse already. A bit warry that him being so good at guessing other people moves will end up in "BBC Sherlock" tier of writing smart characters, so I'm crossing my fingers hoping he just has found a way to cheat. Actually, my biggest praise for the show so far is how grounded in common sense all Akiyama's schemes were. It's just basic human psychology, primitive game theory and grade school level math, no unrealistic 4D chess bullshit in sight!

Main reason I didn't drop it was how open manga readers were about early story issues, nearly everyone was "yeah, it's gonna be a tough watch for a while", so I'll stick with it at least till the end of the full two cours.

They either have not read the LN, or watched the anime. This season (12-13 eps) was never going to battle filled, but here is a "spoiler" for the upcoming season, you get to trade talking about politics for . . . talks about preseving culture, and Luminous Twilight Valentine's partial backstory, and her history with Chloe Aubert, oh and throw in Hinata's future past into the mix.

Oh and if you disliked this saeson you probably not like the upcoming one, since this first 6 eps or so willl be about the 3 demon girls, Luminous wanting Tempest's culture, and the girl we all saw frozen in a coffin-like thing, that even burns a Demon Lord like Luminous. Things pick up in the last 4-5 episodes battle-wise, but even still this is (like I said before) nothing more than a foundation laying LN/anime. We should get some pretty good fights, but this again will be a season of a lot of talking .

Personally I just watched season 4 because the 3 demon ladies are coming in the next 3 to 4 weeks. I can't wait to see Deeno's face when he sees Rimuru's new hirers.

If there is a legitimate critique then great, but you can't say a political series is bad for having politics in it.
.

either way, it explained why S4 did not get an episode review when its previous three seasons all got one! also forgrt deeno, what i want too see is the expression of guy crimson's face when he finds out. he may have been chill about noir, but i cant really see him having that same attitude when it comes to the demoness trio. especially blance

although, the real shock is that classroom of the elite is not in the worst list considering that the personality of the MC is basically an even worse version of naofumi from shield hero.

and while i enjoyed watching the warrior princess and the barbarian as well as fist of the north star, they fell in the same trap that doomed cats eye, berserk 2016/2017 and ubel blatt. aka their a type of series that is better off in manga format and should have never gotten an anime remake at all. as such i am not surprised that fist was placed in this list and like with ubel blatt, be a top contender for WORST OF THE YEAR!

No, the adaptations of Ubel Blatt and the new Fist were just badly-done. They both absolutely could have worked in anime form (and Fist has before). And while Warrior Princess had a few issues, it's nowhere near being in the same category as those two.

Then we have the two disaster-pieces of the season, The Detective is Already Dead
The actual title is Killed Again, Mr. Detective?; you've mixed it up with the other (objectively flawed) detective-themed LN adaptation from a few years back, The Detective Is Already Dead.

Killed Again Detective was the weakest show I watched this season, but also one of the ones I was most excited to watch each week because of the fun banter and characters. While the mysteries were silly, they were also entertaining. Unlike Already Dead Detective, I'd watch a second season of Killed Again Detective.

Oh when Guy finds out about Rimuru's new hires is just too funny. I read it as a "Wait, What?" moment, mixed with a face palm, and a dash of "What did this f*cker do now?".

Some of the comments so far about Slime's upcoming content are straying into the "spoilers" range, so use tags appropriately.

Ghost Concert: Missing Songs.

Man, you summed it up so well.
Ghost Concert was the only anime I kept up with his season so it was both my best and worst show. It was such a ridiculous series. It had some great ideas but then did little with them.
My favourite (most hated) thing was just how frequently it felt like you'd missed episodes. I loved when they were like "wow seria sure contracted with a bunch of ghosts lately including Jean of Arc" but we never ever saw this. Like, I feel like that would have been important but it just skipped it and mentioned it in passing. Still cracks me up.

I loved the songs and the visuals for the songs were so good. It felt like a legit musical that thinks of itself as being deeper than it is. they were so well done, I haven't seen an anime capture a proper stage musical vibe that well since that one song in the first ep of S2 of OG Love Live anime.

Also getting that VA for Nero was hilarious. Nero's song was so good.

The baphomet thing was so funny. And the witches were, like, ghosts too because they were all legendary witches but also not. Loved the chick just going and joining a satanic orgy while everyone else is off doing other stuff. Whatever.

Man. What a show. I can't even recommend it because I think only certain people would legit enjoy it. If someone asked me if it was a good show I couldn't really answer. But I'll be listening to the songs frequently.

I like that the end was like "surprise this was a prequel for the largely inaccessible mixed media project but we retconned some things". Cool stuff.

oh, and seria being like "im gonna go into cryonic sleep now because bad stuff might happen eventually and her parents are like :') yay. man. the more I think of this show the funnier it is.what a ride

also the lesbian childhood friend getting randomly cucked towards the end. what was up with that. They just killed the yuri route suddenly then didn't do anything about it.

sometimes the animation was really good though and sometimes the fight scenes got super hardcore for no real reason. I liked that the big bad fight was resolved in punching real hard like a Symphogear character.
There is so much to talk about with this show.

Terrible show, I love it. No notes.

So true.
In a way I want to force people to watch this just to see their reactions. One of the most baffling shows. Don't think I've felt this confused since Vatican Miracle Examiners.
I keep editing my post because I just think of more and more things about this show.

while there have been anime versions of fist in the past, you have to admit that the ones from the 90's are far superior than the 2026 version.

in addition, its not just me. there are other users in other forums ( like MAL ) who think that when it comes to certain series. its better off to consume them via the source materials and forgo the anime.

hence why i compared the warrior princess and the barbarian to those two not because it was badly done ala fist of the north star & ubel blatt. for when it comes to that series, those same eps in the anime were more interesting when reading in the manga format due to it having more room to breathe.
