The Worst Anime of Spring 2026

I don't know how far you got in Liar Game, but if this is your main problem (that Akiyama is too much smarter than everyone else), I should note that the Contraband game, which starts on episode 11 and will encompass most or maybe all of the second half of this season, should do a lot to solve this issue. A new antagonist is introduced who is a legitimate challenge to Akiyama.

Actually, aside from complaints about the way the series looks, I think most of the criticisms I'm seeing here of Liar Game should be solved or at least alleviated in the second half of this season.

They either have not read the LN, or watched the anime. This season (12-13 eps) was never going to battle filled, but here is a "spoiler" for the upcoming season, you get to trade talking about politics for . . . talks about preseving culture, and Luminous Twilight Valentine's partial backstory, and her history with Chloe Aubert, oh and throw in Hinata's future past into the mix.

Oh and if you disliked this saeson you probably not like the upcoming one, since this first 6 eps or so willl be about the 3 demon girls, Luminous wanting Tempest's culture, and the girl we all saw frozen in a coffin-like thing, that even burns a Demon Lord like Luminous. Things pick up in the last 4-5 episodes battle-wise, but even still this is (like I said before) nothing more than a foundation laying LN/anime. We should get some pretty good fights, but this again will be a season of a lot of talking .

Personally I just watched season 4 because the 3 demon ladies are coming in the next 3 to 4 weeks. I can't wait to see Deeno's face when he sees Rimuru's new hirers.

and while i enjoyed watching the warrior princess and the barbarian as well as fist of the north star, they fell in the same trap that doomed cats eye, berserk 2016/2017 and ubel blatt. aka their a type of series that is better off in manga format and should have never gotten an anime remake at all. as such i am not surprised that fist was placed in this list and like with ubel blatt, be a top contender for WORST OF THE YEAR!

either way, it explained why S4 did not get an episode review when its previous three seasons all got one! also forgrt deeno, what i want too see is the expression of guy crimson's face when he finds out. he may have been chill about noir, but i cant really see him having that same attitude when it comes to the demoness trio. especially blance

although, the real shock is that classroom of the elite is not in the worst list considering that the personality of the MC is basically an even worse version of naofumi from shield hero.

No, the adaptations of Ubel Blatt and the new Fist were just badly-done. They both absolutely could have worked in anime form (and Fist has before). And while Warrior Princess had a few issues, it's nowhere near being in the same category as those two.
