Hi everyone! I've new to the forum and just had a couple questions on the Higurashi manga I'm reading for anyone who is familier with it. Could anyone who does reply please try to make it spoiler free as well? Thanks!
Currently I just finished the first four 'question arcs' in the story: 1. Are the four 'answer arcs' translated yet? All of the sources I've checked don't have it. It's not in America yet so I figured I'd ask. 2. Has anyone seen the Japanese anime? How is it compared to the manga? 3. This one is more of an opinion, but is it just me or is the first 'question arc' with Rena very creepy/well made, but the other three are kind of crappy? Now I'm not sure if the answer arcs put the other three into a better storyline, but I really wouldn't have minded it if the Rena arc was the entire manga story. Just seemed way more bizzare/interesting to me. Thanks for answering my questions. |

In regards to your first question, at least: Only two of the answer arcs actually had a manga version.

As far as I know, at least one of the series I have seen of the Higurashi manga is in the anime. I don't know about the others because I have not seen the anime. However there are seven different manga series I know of for Higurashi no Nakukoroni right now, with three still incomplete. I know this because I have the four complete ones, however one of them seems to have nothing to do with the characters that you see in the anime, except for some supporting characters that do come up.
