Here's a duplicate person!

Jinky De Leon
Jinky Deleon

I don't know how he really wants his name. I found it as DeLeon in Miracle Girls credits but I entered it as Deleon since that name was already in staff. It was only the other day that I noticed it spelled at De Leon. I think that it gets spelled different ways in the book credits also.

It looks like all these are the same person:

Yôichi KOTABE
Youichi ODABE
Youichi OTABE
Yoichi OTABE

Here is the Japanese Movie Database entry for him. His name in kanji is 小田部羊一. Looking at goo movie database, I think that the proper transcription of his family name is "Otabe", but I am not quite sure about that. Does anyone know which way is correct? Confused

Well, the most common romanization for 小田部 is Kotabe... But since Goo has it as Otabe, I suppose that one should be correct (it's a Japanese site after all), and that the sources that romanized it as Kotabe are people who did not know its true pronounciation for this particular name and thereby used the most common form.

Kay Jensen and Kari Wahlgren are the same person. I'd merge the two, but there are two problems:

1. Which one is her real name or most commonly used name?
2. Both names have been entered on the entries for FLCL and A Little Snow Fairy Sugar, hindering any success of merging the names together.

Mayumi Iizuka (飯塚雅弓) has two entries, #522 (with info) and #22192 (empty, should be removed).

Someone please tell me why her family name is spelled as Iizuka, not Iiduka (the 'regular' 飯塚) Question

A few I've spotted:

Taeko Kawata (川田妙子) (#5267)
Taeko Kawada (#5883) (misreading of kanji)
Taeko Kawaka (#13725) (typo)

I believe Taeko Kawata to be the correct reading because it is spelled out as such in the copyright of her website. Her list of roles includes some listed under "Taeko Kawada" here on ANN such as 毛利寧々 (Nene Mouri) in プリンセスナイン (Princess Nine).

Yuko Nagashima (永島由子) (#858)
Yuuko Nagashima (#19717)
Yoshiko Nagashima (#7338) (misreading)

With regards to the first two, "Yuuko" seems to be simplified to "Yuko" here for several entries, and also the entry with "Yuko" has a lot more roles on it. As far as Yoshiko Nagashima goes, I spotted her in the credits to Tenchi Universe (Pioneer) and added her in. When I got around to looking up the kanji names in the GXP, I noted that Minaho's seiyuu's kanji could be read as "Yoshiko Nagashima" (going by looking it up in WWWJDIC), so I entered her in as such. Looking back at it later, though, I found the same kanji I saw in the GXP credits in Yuko Nagashima's entry, and that the role of Yura in Tenchi Universe (credited to Yoshiko Nagashima on Pioneer DVD's) was credited to Yuko Nagashima on this site. Thus, I came to the conclusion that "Yoshiko Nagashima" is likely a misreading of the kanji.

Jamieson Price (#2258)
Jamieson K Price (#12807) (full name "Jamieson K. Price")
James Price (#22387) (shortened)

Lara Jill Miller (#4018)
Lara Miller (#21060) (shortened)
Laura Jill Miller (#7812) (misspelling)
Laura Jane Miller (#17348) (wrong name)

Robert Buchholz (#7979) (long, "Buchholz", contains alias name)
Robert Bucholz (#21638) (long, "Bucholz")
Bob Buchholz (#4160) (short, "Buchholz")
Bob Bucholz (#9082) (short, "Bucholz")

I am not certain whether "Buchholz" or "Bucholz" is the correct spelling for his last name. "Buchholz" seems to be the more commonly occuring one, though.

Robert Martin Klein (#11943) (full name)
R. Martin Klein (#1142) (first initial)
Robert M. Klein (#21640) (middle initial)
Robert Kline (#12907) (misspelling)

T. Axlerod (#5050)

Taliesin Jaffe (#5061)

Sometime credited as Talis Axlerod as well. But not in this database.

金丸淳一 both as Kanemaru Junichi and Kanemaru Jun'ichi.

Is there any 'standard' on ANN for treating the difference between に ni and んい n'i (ni)? I would personally choose to romanize the latter with an apostrophe, but most seems not to—at least in the case of 金丸淳一.

I think it's better to use an apostrophe, although sometimes I've seen it represented with a hyphen.

Yukana Nogami and Yukana are one and the same. She sometimes lists herself as simply "Yukana" on some titles.

MEGUMI is an alternate pseudonym of Megumi Hayashibara.
