I've watched the first three episodes of Trinity Blood on Adult Swim so far, and I doubt I'll be watching the fourth. Even during the third episode, there were moments when I would just stop paying attention and go do something else, while just listening to the show. Really, I just find the entire premise boring, the characters boring, the handling of the story boring, and the story itself boring. Well, that may be putting it too bluntly in some cases, but my point still stands that I don't like this show.
I didn't like the first few episodes of Witch Hunter Robin or the first three episodes of Hellsing, either, as I just don't like these gothic anime. Since those are considered some of the best, it's really no wonder I don't like Trinity Blood.

I've seen almost half of Trinity Blood so far (Canada, remember), I think it's a good show, but yeah, I agree with what Bamboo says. It's definitely "try before you buy", but sadly, the show doesn't pick up. That said, it doesn't slow down either, but what you see on future DVD's probably won't change your opinion on the show (give or take an episode).

Wow... No love for Trinity Blood. I watched the first episode, and it didn't look that bad. However, I don't expect much from Gonzo titles. They are never strong on the character development side of things unless they have something to work from. I'll probably by it for the artwork (which is why I buy Gonzo titles in the first place), but I don't expect too much from it.
Really I'm waiting for ErgoProxy and Shana (mostly for it's 3X3 Eyes allusions). Other than that there isn't anything that's jumping out for me soon.

Agreed. I watched the first episode and found the whole thing to be somewhat "old," like a "been-there seen-that" kind of show. Plus I was bothered by the whole Vatican thing from the show (it seemed rather goofy how they portrayed Catholicism - I know it's Japanese but come on!).

Of the 12 episodes that I saw of Trinity Blood before giving up on it was that character Sword Dancer showed up. Man I would love if he was the main character in this series instead that Vash rip off character.

Sorry to go off topic a bit, but am I the only one that gets this "Trigun with vampires" groove from Trinity Blood?
The silly names (Abel Nightroad), the semi-comic costumes, the lead character (he looks like Vash with a black instead of red overcoat), the mix of silly humor/action/drama, they even begin with the first three letters (OK, so that is a pretty weak link).
Just wondering if I am the only one.
Edit: I guess ZODGUTS beat me to the Vash look-alike point

Way to go with Ninja Nonsense and Green Green
I have to agree with the word on Grappler Baki, in the manga a fight can take up to 6 chapters if was really dragged out. Still you get to see bones crack and stuff like that, that's why I like it.

What? No love for Trinity Blood? Guess I'm the odd one out cause I love it! As for Bleach, so far I'm finding it to be so-so.
Course I love Speed Grapher too. I'm up to the second volume and I can't wait for the third. Oh well, to each his own.

Gonzo did an awesome job with Gankutsuou though. I too await the day Ergo Proxy hits state-side. That was a series I liked a lot more than Trinity Blood.

But with robots. And much more beautiful character models, and don't forget the clothing is just awesome in the anime... too bad that was the only thing positive I remember from the anime.

Yea I agree, Ergo Proxy and Zipang are the two titles that I am most interested in picking up sometime....unfortunely with all Geneon releases there so expensive that it takes forever for me to get any dvds...I am still stuck on vol 2 of Gankutsuou, and even with Dvd price search it's still 20 dollars a volume, and best buy had each volume for $29.99
As for Trinity Blood it's a fun show that has potential. I can't wait for my artbox to show up....because that looks amazing.

I don't know Baki at all, but just seeing the artwork cracks me up. Could they have made the characters look any stupider? At all?
I'll be interested to see how Shelf Life treats the later Eureka 7 volumes when the characters get all pisy with each other and Renton is constantly being beaten up for no reason. Man am I annoyed with this show. Now excuse me while I go watch the latest episode I recorded off CN.

Green Green: The fansubs I watched last year came with an interview of the director, in which he basically said it was loosely based upon his high-school days at a private, secluded all-male academy. The plots represent the mind-set of his friends and, I guess, what kind of antics might have ensued had a bunch of female students shown up one day in front of the isolated, sex-starved teen boys.
If you like the Stiffler character from American Pie, you'll love Green Green. If not, it's hit-n-miss.
Trinity Blood: I rated this in the 'B' category overall. It's an uneven series, both in storyline and characterization.
Abel's Vash imitation as sissy dimwit to try and cover up his superpowers doesn't come off very well, and the Pope's older brother is a bombastic charicature (sp?). OTOH, most of the other characters are quite good.
Plots are the same way; some are tired retreads while others are excellent, with things generally getting better as the series developed.
I think that if the director had been more consistent, or more talented prehaps, and given us something closer to Vampire Hunter D or Blood+, this would have been a first-rate series.
As it is, it's still worth watching on TV, and it was picked up for a second season, so I would recommend waiting before giving a final verdict.
