NEWS: One Piece's Newest Episode Leaked Before Japan's Debut

Just saying, rtmpe wouldn't solve things with things like rtmpdump in the wild.
They should have used some sort of .htaccess or simply not upload the episode on their server before the real release time.

or hell, even the entire deal being ripped up.

If I was Toei, I'd be pretty pissed right now considering the majority of the western fansub community have seen the ep way before it airs in Japan.

There was no reason to do that other than to try and damage Funi's business.

For the guys saying FUNimation sucks. how in the hell can they suck when they are the only Anime company doing there job? They License something new like ever 2 to 3 weeks and they dub everything they get. If FUNimation sucks What does ADV and Bandai do? (I don't say Viz cause there working on Naruto, Bleach, and Nana)

Anyway leaking the episode by mistake happens its just guys out there how is pissed that FUNimation is winning against fansubs. Well challenging fansubs.

And it's crazy how, Lance's name along with Toei's, is added to make it seem like it was approved.

As anime fans know, FUNimation Entertainment and Toei Animation had planned for the first ever online simulcast of the series ‘One Piece’ tonight at 9:00 pm CDT., just one hour after its premiere on Japan’s Fuji Television. Unfortunately, in the last 24 hours we have determined that the FUNimation servers were compromised, even though we employ strict security standards. An unknown individual accessed and posted episode 403 online and as a direct result of this illegal act, all U.S. and Canadian fans will be deprived of access to this great anime series for the immediate future. We will make every effort to locate and prosecute the perpetrator(s)to the fullest extent of the law and will provide updates regarding this most serious matter

Seems like it did affect the streams for a while.

I call BS on the whole hacker thing. Funi is just trying to cover their ass! They leaked it just like they've done in the past, only this time they're in huge trouble for it

The attitudes on display on the part of the pro-fansub community is pretty sickening IMHO. They're giving you SUBTITLED, DAY-AND-DATE anime for FREE. What more do you want from these people!?

Thats a tough call to make though, you notice that earilier today, all the most recent episodes of One Piece were taken down, so we don't know for sure, if they catch someone then I would say hack, but if they don't then I am not sure. It could be a retaliation to FUNimation's attack on Fansubbers, or it could be some foreign hacker upset that FUNimation doesnt stream worldwide, its a tough call, heck for all we know it could just be someone bored.
