K-On hasn't made a risky idea in years, if not ever. I mean they sure know how to get moe fans to buy things, but other than that they haven't made something that wasn't moe since Fullmetal Panic.

If they wanted a risky idea they could make a film about the characters as adults having to get through the sudden problem of fame. Maybe have one die of a drug overdose, one commit suicide, and the ending is of the surviving members miserable wanting to return to the old days of them being friends.
