Not to mention elemental combat HARDLY began with Naruto, and the Avatar writers has cited Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo as influences and forced the entire staff to watch FLCL before they began working on the show, but they've never mentioned Naruto.
Avatar is as much a ripoff of Naruto as Naruto is a ripoff as DBZ. In other words, you can find similarities, but they're so common in overall fiction you're just making yourself look silly bothering in the first place.

Plus, unlike Naruto, Avatar is actually good.

about the same IMHO, Avatar is essentially the Codex Alera by Jim Butcher with a different motif. While Naruto is DBZ with a different motif.

Never heard of the former, and I loathe the latter, so it's all one and the same to me. At any rate, at least Avatar managed to primarily focus on *gasp* the title character.

*cough* You might want to catch up on the series then (Naruto's been doing a lot lately. And I'd like to point out that Sasuke was absent or mostly absent for FOUR arcs so far in the entire story, pretty high for the 2nd main character. Zuko, on the other hand, is often argued to receive more development than Aang himself.
