So it looks like the actions Marie & Leon have done have distorted or compressed the event timelines and either the game is trying to correct itself (as Leon thinks) or they're created an alternative time-line where Leon is now the main male protagonist and Marie the main female one.

Why do I get the feeling it's going to go the typical dense male MC gets hot-female harem route for Leon and the Reverse-harem route for Marie.

Unless Luxion gets bored and kills them all.

Also if Leon & Marie are Isekai'd and not NPC's - how many more of the characters are no longer NPC's and are changing the games flow?

I'm glad the show didn't try to spend its time on a big fight sequence- thats never been a strong point for the series. And while I can appreciate how the fight ultimately ended, I am left with a nitpicky question: How could Leon track the BK after losing Arroganz's sensor feeds? His field of vision should have been tremendously restricted.

While it is a good place for an ending... the actual ending didn't feel like one. To me, it seemed like the end of an episode and we should be expecting a new one next week, so much so that I had to double check the sources to make sure it wasn't a two-cour show.

It is a good point about Marie believing the items would make her "The Saint."
It was unclear to me whether or not the shrine charm was a Saint Item or not, but the evidence was well presented that Livia already has an insane innate amount of magical power while Marie hasn't been shown to have much at all. But she must have some, as she felt confident enough to go into that dungeon with only her snarky servant to get the item, and apparently succeeded.

as he said, arroganz is connected to luxión, even if arroganz itself was blind, luxions sensors can cover up for that. you have to cut the communication between arroganz and luxión ( and luxión ball would be broken) to achieve blindness for arroganz.

i am moderately happy with this adaptation, in one Coeur it covered 2 novels , so the pacing itself was good. it also did not water it's time in unecessary stuff so even if it cut two or three things that will matter later, they can always be moved to the next season as flashbacks. while the combat sequences being inferior was notable, the lack of good character animation for the non battle stuff was what annoyed me the most, so i am kind of hoping for a staff change if we get a next season;ln is considered peak mobuseka, and it's dense enough for one full Coeur , 8f adapted the same way the first two were.

So it ended up adapting just the first two volumes, or two thirds of the first arc.

spoiler[It actually becomes a major plot point in book 3, which is nice.]

None of the game's main characters are isekai'd (or as Luxion would call them, 'old' humans). But spoiler[the game has at least two sequels, and other people have been reincarnated into characters based around those games. There is one of note in volume 4, and the Holfort princess (who I don't think is introduced until around volume 9) is also one with a surprising connection to Leon.]

Really enjoyed this one. The manga is just slightly ahead, so I hope we get at least another season.

And as he can't choose between them, he's not willing to pursue either romantically.

You'd think his father being married to two women would give him some ideas on that front...

So, Leon is now a Viscount. However, as he already had a promotion in the bank as a reward for stopping the pirates, does that mean he will be promoted to Count upon graduation?

I may be misremembering from the manga, but they have court ranks (upper 5th, lower 5th, upper 4th etc) in addition to titles (at least I don't remember if they were directly tied together...) , which is what he's getting after graduation. I think it was upper 5th to lower 4th. IIRC he simply wasn't allowed to go any higher while still a student (or in such a short time).

Thanks for joining me this season. I hope everyone enjoyed reading these reviews as much as I did writing them. Here's hoping for a second season (or even a film) to give us the next arc in the story.

Thanks for the reviews and let's hope so!

Do they explain why, if they simply "fell asleep while waiting for him," they were only wearing their skimpiest and most eye-catching underwear?

bold of you to assume that's their skimpiest underwear.

well, a minor complaint is that the anime downplayed the sexuuality of the series, was it ever mentioned that the demo human slaves are basically scorts? but yes , a lot of the kindest stuff just got skimmed over, no big deal, tho, as it is more of a reminder that both galge and otome get genres started as porn games, and if 8t becomes relevant it was always be added later.

Well that was a fun time. Would be down for another. Like the love triangle this has led to.

I saw that as 'typical nonsensical date/sim game fanservice.' Every game's gotta have one... It's nicer when the circumstamces make sense and it's clever. But the protag explained that this game was typical lazy commercial product development, so there you go, random and cliche.
