It never ceases to surprise me just how ugly and unnatural motion capture CG looks. Maybe a result of the uncanny valley effect?

I think its just because the way it renders the 3D image in order to look 2D.... because if you take a look at Appleseed, most of it looks good... At least to me.

I don't think that's motion capture. I think they're just really sloppily puppeteered.
