I saw a trailer for an anime called Stormy Night, and I was wondering who was involved on it. [/url]

What makes a program a "fake wannabe"?

That's what people tend to call non-Japanese shows that borrow the style. I have to disagree about Teen Titans though, I own the DVDs and the creators said they chose the anime style because they are fans of it themselves and felt it would work best for what they were trying to achieve for the series.
The only other shows that really come to mind as far as being "wannabes" are the shows brought over here from France (Totally Spies, Martin Mystery, ect.) or shows like Avatar, which I believe is animated in Asia |

I thought that extra was interesting too. Having the shows creators along with Perez and Wolfman made it really good...too bad the second DVD didn't have something that nice.
Avatar had a ton of Asian influences in it, not just anime. One of the creators even studied some form of fighting just to help with the fight scenes of the show. |

What I meant was that I thought it might be Korean.

That is actually kinda funny considering that more often then not alot of animation in shows that are thought to be american are actually animated in Canada or Asia. I read somewhere that The Simpsons is usually animated in Korea. So who is to say what is fake and what isn't? |

And was Tezuka a "fake wannabe" when he "ripped off" Disney to create Astro Boy? I'm sorry, but I hate one-sided animation rips. People slam Teen Titans all the time; I wonder if people in Japan rip Japanese cartoons who borrow English mannerisms in shows (wild takes and such).
I want to see who's the first brave soul to say "Japanese companies don't copy anything from other countries." Seriously. |

Exactly. Hmmm...Japan seems a little similar to China. Anyway, after WWII, didn't Japan get a lot of American influences, such as music, "cartoons", and their constitution. Supposedly, Japan takes a lot of things that belong to other countires, but they end up making it better, so that should make anime fans happy. |

Exactly like what aromatic glass said. Its like how Fox rips off other reality tv shows as seen that episode of the simpons (though i don't remember which one, all i remember is a bunch of coporate executives watching their mini-tv looking for stuff they could use to improve their own show) |
