Before I start, I just wanted to say that my English has not yet fully developed.
Hello. I was wondering if anime would make more money by cloning. For example, Pokemon came out, then Digimon and next was Yu-gi-oh. These three anime have in common and most likely the same story such as the story. For pokemon, the story is about being the best pokemon master and saving pokemon. Digimon and Yu-gi-oh is the story of saving the world or something. Also these three anime have monsters that save humans or the whole world. In my opinion, Digimon came out because Pokemon was having success and Yu-gi-oh is just another clone. It also goes for Naruto, FMA and bleach. These stories have in common. The main character saves the world and are the chosen one such as Naruto being chosen by the fox or something, FMA- Edward is known as the youngest alchemist in the military, and Bleach- the main character(don’t know his name) was chosen for being a death ghost and being really strong than the other ghosts. They all have almost the same plot, action, goal, characters (as in personalities), etc. What I’m trying to say is if cloning anime attracts more people and make rich money, or if it’s just competition. What kind of effects do these anime have anyways? Although these anime have a difference too, I just want to know because many people are talking about these things, whether it’s allowed or not and that it’s not attracting more people because of the same kind of plot.

well i don't totally agree with everything you say, but i get your idea
it's mostly because pokemon was popular in the US and thus companies try to take advange of that sucess by realeasing those series. It's simple, if someone is sucessful in something... copy them (like mp3 players)
personally i don't think yugioh was originally about saving the world, it's just 4kids just had to change the plot and lines to make it even cheesier...
I don't think FMA, bleach or naruto are about saving the world..
FMA: Ed and Al did a forbidden act, ruin their bodies, try to erase their mistakes by returning things to normal
Bleach: (for most of the story so far) Ichigo is trying to prevent Rukia from being assasinated
Naruto: Naruto is trying to become the greatest ninja so people would stop looking at him as if he were dirt. later: Trying to bring his friend (sasuke) back

oh, and the chosen part:
naruto: the fox was sealed within him without his consent (well he was too young) if he had the choice he would want to be normal, because of the demon fox people saw him as the demon itself.
FMA: He only became the youngest because of forbidden alchemy he did and he only wanted to be an state alchemist to revive his and his brother's body. He isn't doing it for glory or anything.
Bleach: Ichigo isn't the strongest, he gets stronger, but he often beaten up , etc. Bleach has that typical shounen element, (and besdies, if he was the strongest it wouldn't be fun, )

Also, if you examine more about Yu-Gi-Oh than just the (rather poor) anime, like the original manga, you'll note that the story really had nothing to do about people who use monsters to save the world in the beginning. In fact, it still doesn't really approach the same plot that Digimon has, and as far as Pokemon goes, except for the movies, I never see them "save the world" at all. Pokemon doesn't even have a strong central plot like Digimon and Pokemon do. Though they are all part of the same genre (kids with monsters), they all have different ideas behind them, particularly Yu-Gi-Oh's original focus on games of all kinds.

I think you mean "Copy"
When a trend makes money , every one wants to copy it.

When your story is aim at young boys and the sub-genre is action shonen, you are really limited on what you can present to the viewer and make it marketable. The whole Shonen genre has always have story about young boys coming of age, fighting evil-doer and making a name for himself mix with some action and comedy. They are similar because they target the same demographic and audience, yet they can still use different "gimmick" to make the title stand out by itself like One Piece. Whether you're targeting harem fans or Mecha fans, you have to use similar ideas while adding your own flavor to see what sells and what works. It just so happen that the action shonen and harem sub-genre are probably the most popular and most marketable.
Once you get to the anime that target an adult demographic, you will see a lot more diversity and originaly, especially in sienen manga.
