I readabout this manga in Animerica's quarterly mini magazine thing. it sounds good, but i'd like to know more about it.

it is one of the best sci-fi mangas in the current american market. it has amazing art, a very interesting story and a lot of philisophical questions that you can wonder about after having read the first volume or two. its a mature manga though, so if your feeble mind cant handle nudity and violence dont bother with it. i could go on but, ANN review

It's quite a bit more disturbing than Gantz, but you should be able to handle it...In terms of disturbing material, I'd rank it like this:

---Ichi the Killer
---Berserk
---Eden
---Gantz

Eden is excellent. It's been partially scanlated (I'm finishing it up, actually) and the first 2 volumes are out in English. Read it. Mind you, though...it can be disturbing. Don't get attached to the characters.

i have to diagree, Gantz is much more gore and sex filled than Eden.

Eden can be violent and a bit graphic at times, but so far it isn't near the level of Battle Royale, Gantz or Berserk.

I've been thinking of getting this but the artwork reminds me of Ghost in the Shell which I didn't like, at all.

'tis irrelevant.

I'm talking about "disturbing" material. Gantz has more gore and sex, but it isn't as disturbing. Sure, it IS disturbing...but not on the level of Eden. spoiler[Remember the box with the eye and ear?]
