After multiple ideas of concepts for anime/manga series during school and trying too see if there's any series out there already, only to find that there's little to no series out there. Now a question I have asked some people is what concepts would you like to see in anime or what concepts would you like to see more of?

I'd love to see a gothic, depressing twist on the horror genre. Think of a world where democracies have slowed things down so much to the point where gladiatorial combat now determines the passage of legislation, spoiler[akin to the episode with majority rule in Kino's Journey.]

We have ghost anime, vampire anime, witch anime, and now lots of zombie anime.

Time for werewolves. :'D If they made an anime about a cute wolf-girl in love with a human, like the concept with Karin, I'd watch the hell out of that.

^ Spice and Wolf?

I'd like to see more space epics along the lines of Infinite Ryvius, or Starship Operators with something closer to proper physics and battle tactics like those in Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Ideally, something like Space: Above and Beyond or Star Trek in anime form.

Naw....I mean more like a horror/comedy about a wolf kid trying to hide her/his secret from friends at school or something like that. :3

The only concept I would like to see in anime is originality. I know anime used to have it once, but at this point, I'm beginning to think it's a lost art.

I don't disagree, but as the saying goes, it's not the story that's important, but the way it's told.

I beg to differ. I refuse to rest until Ultimate Mop Daisuke becomes a 200-episode reality.

If execution of old concepts is the issue, then there are a number of modern series that fit the bill excellently.

I'd like to see something that reeks of heavy-handed philosophical fetor. Like it's been pulled straight out of a story from Camus, Satre, or Nietzsche. A series that depicts the meaninglessness of life, the lack of objective morals and values, and one that gives a cynical account of justice being a convention and only benefiting the strong and powerful. I'd like it to be set in a world in which humanity has realized all of this and has an "everything is permissible" attitude.

Anything dealing with existential nihilism, I'd love to see in anime format.
