That's normal for anime. Only a very small number of top money-makers are going to air in primetime or on weekend mornings.
As for the song... I'm assuming Koro-sensei picked the song representatives. I can't see anyone else suckering Karma into participating.  (That being said, always happy to hear Okamoto Nobuhiko singing.)

Nope, that's an example of late-night anime, and Assassination Classroom is no different.

Nagisa, Kayano, Karma, Isogai and Maehara. I'm surprised with the last to ones, but since Isogai is popular by the fans and Maehara is his best buddy, it makes kinda sense to me.
