that's the voice of the narrator, can you translate this....

The given name should be "Mark"; the family name is tricky, as I don't know how to transliterate "Kapontie" into a valid French family name.

Carpentier, perhaps?

Thanks, and it was not Mark but Marc: http://www.gaikokujin-talent.com/profile/marc_carpentier.html

The katakana on the credit lacks a long vowel symbol (カポンティエ vs. カーポンティエ) so I'm not 100% sure, however.

Is it just me, or is it a lot easier for anime studios to find Europeans to provide voices than Americans? I think I noticed this in Sacred Seven, too. Is it a difference in how industries are structured on either side of the pond?

Wow, he certainly doesn't sound Québécois. To my admittedly unilingual ears, his voice sounds France French.

Well, the website dormcat brought up says "出身地: カナダ", which seems to say he is from Canada. (I'm sure "カナダ" is "Canada".) I suppose it could be some other francophone part of Canada.

If he is French-Canadian, then I'd guess he is using a Parisian accent as opposed to how he actually sounds in real life.

There's really only two parts of Canada that are francophone and the Acadian accent would probably be even more telling than the Quebecois one.

I guess there is also the Metis out west as well. Not sure what their accent sounds like though.

Also, as far as I know there isn't any legal stream out there for this one, unfortunately Sad

It's streaming on The Anime Network, not ANN.

Three episodes in and I'm really enjoying this show. Croisee seems to be trying to channel Aria. Both are set in European cities, Yune seems like a younger version of Akari and the opening and closing themes both sound like they would fit for Aria.
(Closer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EajxIkK8n0)

Alice's sister even threw in a "My, my!" in the preview for epi 4 Smile
It would be tough to equal Aria, but I appreciate the effort.
(Granted, Neo-Venezia is a replica city on another planet, but the setting is similar)

Junichi Sato, who directed all the Aria series, did the series composition for Croisee.
