Code Geass 2,5 Electic Bogaloo sold twice as much as GitS but is only half the product.
Sigh and i wonder how much movies (the Arise films is more of a premium OVA) need to make to go in the black.

Yes it does Storm. Will be interesting to see how volume 3 will sell without a Nana Mizuki event ticket bundled with the BD.

Overlord at #4 and Symphogear at #2.

Sounds excellent to me.

Well hopefully it holds up well. I think it should be ok since the music thrown in is a nice addition. Getting Bayonet Charge, Radiant Force (Ignite) and a third song that I think is being sung by Miku's VA. Not an event ticket, but pretty solid.

They are doing a good job adding value to these volumes to try and keep the sales high. At least I hope so since if they can then it will make for a good chance of getting that fourth season.

I guess Non Non Biyori Repeat is selling alright, like "middling" numbers but on the good side of "middling".

I was hoping the disk with the "Flatty-san" episode would break 10K, though.

I know there are a few OVAs coming, but I'm still hoping for a third TV season even if it's another "fill in the gaps between the previous season's episodes" season instead of a continuation.

Have you already seen both titles first? By which I mean the specific volumes that were released last week.

I'd suspect not. Not only due to objective availability issues, but also because this is a rather presumptuous statement.

The new Ghost in the Shell movie has absolutely nothing to do with the original films or the TV show. None of the previous creators are working on this project. It's a direct continuation of Arise, which takes place in a new continuity.

For its part, the Code Geass OVA is not a sequel to the TV series and is being made by different staff. It takes place in another part of the world and involves a whole new cast of characters as the main focus.

Just because you might well prefer Ghost in the Shell as an overall property to Code Geass doesn't really support your position. Unless you have actually seen the new GITS film and the 4th volume of the Code Geass spin-off in order to reach that conclusion, your comparison will come across as uninformed at best.

The GitS Arise movie is my favorite animated film of 2015 and a great pallet cleanser after the near awful Psycho Pass film.

Why would i watch more of Code Cash Grab if the first 2 episodes didn´t do anything for me? Rewrites halfway through proved toxic the last time too but R2 at least managed to be entreating if brain-dead. (I was also better animated which greatly surprised me.) The behind the scenes complications the OVA are the only interning facet of Akito and S3 is basically a forgone conclusion with these numbers and the open ending to R2. Shrug. At least i am getting more of The Origin and even Thunderbolt so Sunrise hasn´t lost me yet.

Unless the volume has some intresting extras, you'll never see it outselling v1 of a series. No matter how popular the episode is.

I'd have to disagree with you about that Psycho Pass film, which was actually decent enough, but I'm glad to know you did at least watch the new GITS movie. I'll give you credit for that much.

If nothing else, that makes your opinion no more than indirectly relevant when talking about any of the following episodes which you haven't seen. It's based on an incomplete experience. And, of course, I happen to disagree with that unecessarily cynical opinion of yours too.

Because, ironically enough, it's rather silly to see you complaining about a so-called "cash grab" when the Ghost in the Shell property is objectively far more guilty of it. There are way more Ghost in the Shell productions of varying quality in circulation at this point, but apparently you believe those don't exist to make money.

I'm afraid you don't know what you're talking about in either respect. There's no such thing as a rewrite here and watching the 4th episode confirms your earlier speculations were absolutely wrong. The actual contents did not match your wild claims. For that matter, I'd also have to question your ability to judge animation quality.

You're entitled to having that personal opinion, naturally, but all you are doing is trying to make a random guess. It's very easy to question your allegations though, especially since you have no information about the behind-the-scenes of the production. All of your previous speculations have proven to be unsupported.
