Here's a fun forum activity I would like to introduce to everyone. Basically the premise is to take your favorite Slice of Life anime, or pick one from the Encyclopedia using the genre search feature. Then, write a Plot Summary and post it here as if that anime was a horror and psychological thriller.
You can adapt the existing Plot Summary or write one from scratch, but the characters generally have to stay the same. You can alter their personalities but the point is to make it funny in a morbid way. I'll start off with Azumanga Daioh by rewriting its Encyclopedia Plot Summary. Azumanga Daioh is about high school life through the eyes of six girls with psychotic personalities: Chiyo (the 10-year-old mastermind and plotter), Osaka (the resident airhead), Sakaki (egomaniac with a vicious grudge against cats), Tomo (the gun-crazed lunatic), Yomi (fits the "going postal" stereotype) and Kagura (the athletic one, but actually just another hapless victim). |
