Trying to capitalize on AnimeNEXT's move to Atlantic City, I suppose? It's a great small-mid sized location that people in the region are used to visiting by now, but announcing it with not even 3 months to go is pretty short notice.

Interesting, too, to see an anime con that's run by a for-profit company right from the start.

Exactly. I already booked a hotel in Atlantic City for AnimeNEXT. I can't afford to pay for 2 cons within a month of each other. I love the Somerset venue, but I'm not going to pass up an established event like AnimeNEXT, even if they are moving.

We appreciate your loyalty. We're working hard to make sure we put on a great event. The new location is quite nice and should suit our needs for years to come.

Con was announced months ago and even announced a guests. I think the Otaku USA thing is new. Which is good for both con and magazine. If I had the money I go both but the month between it and AnimeNext is a problem. Even if it was later in the year I might try to find a way. I'm glad for those who can't make it to AC still have a con. I'm sure will not be as hot in may as it was last year in June for AN

If from nearby big city, could take those ubiquitous cheap/free "shuttle casino bus" to Atlantic City

I'd never be able to ride those buses, I'd get sick...
