I'll probably give this show a chance, but it just strikes me as really weird that the show is supposedly based on Norse mythology, and yet everything about it looks more Mediterranean/Egyptian.

At least if everybody is complaining about how samey all isekais are, this one deviates from the norm in a bunch of respects... Not set in a medieval fantasy world, but thousands of years earlier, and a story that starts two years *after* the isekai...
I'll admit that, while I'm a huge fan of isekai stories, I dropped this one (or well, stalled...) half way through the first volume. I'm told that the issues that I have with it only really apply to the first volume, but since I didn't make it through that volume...

Still dunno about the anime, but the novels, despite sounding generic as heck, end up being much better than I expected.
