I should add that it's in one of the Tezuka anthology collections from Digital Manga: Under the Air.

Neat! Voice of the Night is one of the better stories included in Under the Air. I wonder if they will have Yuri be a burakumin though. Probably not since Tezuka changed it for later editions.I thought the story which is basically about prejudice and the effects was more powerful that way. I can understand people being concerned about the original depiction though. Still to me making her a delinquent, though people treat those who run afoul of the law differently too, seems to open the way for people feeling less empathetic about the story and characters.

Not like Tezuka didn't draw some challenging stuff sometimes that may not come off completely the way intended so they put disclaimers on every book. Under the Air also has a story about a southern racist army officer who ends up with a heart transplant from an African-American subordinate. spoiler[Guy goes to visit the dead guy’s family, ends up having a change of heart (pun intended) and then gets murdered by some Harlem residents.]

eManga has the eBook of Under the Air available now if anyone is curious. The stories are pretty thought provoking. Physical copies aren't out generally yet. I’m still waiting for my rewards from the Under the Air Kickstarter. DMP is having some sort of problem they don’t want to explain. First backers got their books back in July but, no one else has any idea when they may see their rewards. Or why it’s taking months to ship packages this time since DMP ignores anybody trying to communicate with them. I’m so glad this was the last project I backed from DMP. I just had to support The Crater that they included.
