I'm hyped for this, but it does sound a lot like Knights of Sidonia. It also reminds me of Pacific Rim with two pilots per mech.

Not really digging the male uniform, to be honest. Other than that, not bad. I tend to find premises less interesting in text than in execution, especially when from people like this, so even though the premise doesn't sound terribly inventive, what they do with it will be much more important, of course.

Jesus, these character designs are dull. The main character looks like the most milquetoast protagonist. I’m hoping the action direction is on point because the premise appears to be fairly generic as well.

Its actually descent, it's just something you got get used to way told the story I guess. It's very much like old giant robot shows in the past, with new enemy per week. Star Driver was about a struggle power on island in the south pacific where secret to power taking over the world with technology beyond humanity lies in the island. Part of it is where deal with struggles high school students who are friends by day and enemies on the battlefield using to use alien Mecha which is being prevented from leaving island. It sounds on paper, but it does actually work and It. It has pretty nice music along with it. I'm bit surprised that this series using very similar design scheme to Star Driver. |

Each new reveal for this show gets me less excited... I'll most likely still watch the first episode but expectations are very low so hopefully it will surprise me.
