Looking very nice. The villain is voiced by the guy who voiced Albert from Lupin part 5, I loved his rascally performance there. He can definitely sell a devious no-good-doer. OLM as the studio is an... interesting choice. On one hand, they've been diligently putting out work in the industry for decades with Pokemon and Inazuma series. But those long-running franchises aren't exactly known for consistent high-quality production. But this is also the studio behind some of the best-looking CG anime films I've ever seen (i.e. Rudolph the Black Cat), so I feel like this could go either way. I hope it lives ups to its gorgeous Ghibli aesthetic leanings. Because those character designs look ripped straight out of one of Miyazaki's older manga's.

But what really sells me is Yoshiyuki Momose directing. Most probably aren't familiar with the name but this is the guy that was responsible for the stunning and experimental, innovative art direction of many of Isao Takahata's films, including the bold stylized watercolor/charcoal painting look of Princess Kaguya. Takahata was never an animator himself so Momose was always the guy bringing his artistic visions to life. He also just made his directorial debut with a short film included in Studio Ponoc's recent Modest Heroes anthology, the best one in the entire anthology imo. This man is a legend. And it crazy because literally right after seeing his short film in that anthology I told my friend "this man needs to direct a feature length film." My prayers were answered. He doesnt seem to have a hand in the animation direction this time unfortunately, but he's shown that he's just as capable of a director imo so I'm really interested to see what he does with the material. Expecting good, good things.
