Sooo, is the sword metal or not. Got excited by the replica but then the article keeps referring to it as a "toy." It makes noises and stuff? I just want a cool sword made of actual metal. I guess we'll just to wait and see?

Looks like plastic to me, even the handle wrapping. The habaki (the collar between the blade and the guard) might be aluminum. Even though I wouldn't buy it either way, it's kinda disappointing that they didn't even bother to spray a hamon effect on the cutting edge.

For $73, it's definitely plastic. That would be an incredibly cheap price for a metal sword, and this is supposed to be a collector's item, so they're expecting to make a profit off of it.
