Wow, really? Will they show spoiler[sex scenes] as well? It's not easy story (as almost every Inio Asano's work) so I'm curious how they gonna adapt it...

With spoiler[the amount of sex scenes] the manga has and how important they are to develop its main characters, I think this movie is gonna be a pretty watered-down version of the story.

I'm thinking this will be like trying to make a movie of a sports manga and not showing any actual sport. Given what you can apparently get away with these days in non-hentai anime, I would have thought an anime adaptation would be a better idea.

Punpun is around 7 times the length of Girl on the Shore, so I don't think it's likely.

They did say "any format", so a TV series would work.

I mean if they decide to skip it there's nothing else to show... all manga is spoiler[one big long sex scene]. And a bit of drama.
