It's amazing that after all of these years, we're finally getting an official English translation of a TM VN. The wishes of the fans have finally reached TM.

For something this text heavy, I seriously wonder who's doing the translation.

That's amazing news, especially since the game is short enough to make checking out all three languages a reasonable proposition. I'd love to know who's doing the translation, and I hope it turns out superior to the extremely mixed bag of Aniplex's Fate subtitles.

Maybe its whoever is responsible for the FGO game translations? It seems like that would be a likely pivot

I'm so glad were getting this, I wonder if well get an official western release as well since its already going to be translated. I mean, they clearly want money.....right? Right??

That seems like a reasonable guess, but I'd assume it depends on how actively Aniplex are involved. I'd certainly welcome it, since FGO's translation quality has massively improved over the years and easily beats out any Aniplex subs I've seen in recent memory. I wonder what that would mean for the Chinese translations, though, since iirc the Chinese version of FGO is handled by a separate company. Either way, I would really like to see actual names in the credits and not just agencies.

Official releases in NA and SEA seem likely if they're putting in this work, unless there's some behind-the-scenes legal conflict I can't imagine. It's on Switch, though, so buying it from anywhere isn't going to be a problem regardless.

Well, I suppose rather than waiting for the PC translation version, I could just fire up a Switch emulator and play this version instead. Though given the tenacity of vn translators, the PC translation will probably be soon finished and they'll probably port the voice as well.

I guess we've got our cast for the movie now too, though I wonder how much the addition of voice acting would change the experience if it took this long for them to decide to add it

Good. Since Aniplex hates Europe and doesn't release anything here even digitally.

Maybe now they'll finally consider an English localization for Tsukihime.
