I enjoyed Bumblebee and felt it was the first time they really nailed a nice Transformers live-action film. Was sad to find out this is yet another reboot and looks to channel the Bayverse films more aesthetic and writing wise. Although I guess it makes sense given how much money those films made compared to Bee.

I'm cautiously optimistic.

Officially, there haven't been any reboots, Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts are prequels to the Bayverse films. No, it doesn't make sense. Yes, they're barely connected, but then the fourth and fifth movies were barely connected to the first three. Honestly it's probably not worth thinking too hard about.

This is not the Beast Wars I remember watching in the morning (and then watching Rico's Roughnecks) before the school bus came.
