New Ken VA sound solid. Curious to hear her take on the Ken/Shinjiro stuff.
Not really feeling Ikutsuki's new voice though. |

I still can't wrap my mind around how badly Atlus f*cked up this remake... For starters, they're gonna charge $70 even for a last-gen release. They skimped out on FES and Portable content. On Xbox, it's gonna be on game-pass day 1, while on PS, it's releasing the same month as FF7 Rebirth.
Goodbye future remakes. Guess P2 is gonna remain as nothing more than a curiosity. |

To be fair to my love for the series (my patience is sure being tested as of late though), I would give this a run when the price drops to $20 with the JP audio track. On the bright side (incoming sarcasm alert:) at least the Portable content missing means you won't be able to enter into a "should I be concerned about his age...?" relationship with Ken in this version like you could on PSP! 
Ken sounds pretty solid in the trailer, his was not one of my favorite voices in the original. Shuji sounds flat though. If you check the JP track, Shuji is supposed to sound intentionally dry & very matter-of-fact given the seriousness of the situation & his responsibilities to the kids. Folks may think it wrong of me to take one Shuji line and throw out his entire ENG performance, but it really throws me for a loop when the ENG VAs just cant hit that sweet spot the original cast did with their intonation and pacing. |
