I agree, a fun aspect of these types of games is having a fantasy life and getting to imagine your life with various townspeople, romance included. I like that there are plenty of storylines since romance isn't a limiting factor, but it would be better to have a nonromantic version of plotlines once you're out of the dating game than to build a whole life but never be able to date anyone. That sounds like sort of the point, considering the review mentioned how there isn't much depth to the farm aspect, but making a pretend life and being able to find someone special always seemed like an important part of making the world yours in farm games.
