They mostly live off rereleases at this point.

This kind of comment comes up literally every single time news regarding MB is posted. Yes, MB never stopped existing, and in fact has been more active in the past five years than most people think. They've re-released a bunch of their old catalog on BD (Kanokon, Grenadier, Eiken, Jungle de Ikou, Yamibo, Seven of Seven, Ramen Fighter Miki, etc.), re-released titles BD previously done by other companies (Doomed Megalopolis, Amazing Nurse Nanako), put out titles that had never been released previously (Code-E, Chu-Bra, I Don't Like You At All Big Brother, Final Examination Kujira), and have continued to do a lot of live-action & hentai, like they always have. The focus on tokusatsu is the new thing from MB, but the Kamen Rider movie trilogy release did really well for them, so it's cool to see MB continue forward with more toku, as there's clearly a market for that stuff nowadays. |

I can't tell if you're joking or just unaware as Lord Geo says. |

It's nice to see someone continuing with Garo live action stuff. The Kraken/Sentai releases were good, but while the second live action show has an okay ending, the actual finale movie never got released in English, and it's one of the ones MB confirmed.
It'd be especially nice if MB goes into the later TV shows as well. |

Clearly a package deal similar to Discotek's City Hunter deal from 6 years ago since in this case, it comes with a movie that doesn't premiere in theaters until later this week.
For Kiba & Red Requiem, I still have the Kraken releases so if they have anything new then sure, I'll double-dip. I'm curious if they also have the latter's dub.
That was weird plus they didn't have the bonus episode season 1 had either. Meanwhile on the anime side, we're still missing a movie.....which was linked to Crimson Moon so I can't blame Funi for avoiding it. |

Weird to begin with a bunch of the movies and not the shows leading up to or connecting them. It's like releasing a TV series but starting with episodes 4, 6, 15, 22 and 25.

Good to see Media Blasters hanging around and releasing new stuff. They even opened their own storefront a little while back; I picked up a few BD versions of their older licenses from there.

I didn't know there's a new upcoming Garo project.
Since it's titled Taiga, does it mean it will portray the younger days of Kouga's dad? |

As a GARO fan, I love this!
Yeah, it's a prequel. |

I don't know what the deal with the bonus episode was, but I know that they didn't get that finale movie because Garo was selling pretty badly for them. The first show sold okay, the movies and specials sold a little worse and the second show was just a flat bomb for them, so they gave up before paying the rights to the second movie. And yeah Crimson Moon was awful. It's such a mean-spirited show that was completely unwilling or unable to take advantage of being animated. |
