Megumi Ogata recently talked in Oricon that she feels most Jujutsu Kaisen characters tend to have monologues even when fighting and Yuta became one of them. Feels like way back in 0 and the beginning, the fights were simpler and now it's harder than Hunter x Hunter.

Not to dissuade you, but from here on out Jujutsu Kaisen is going full on Hunter x Hunter.

The recap at the start is incoherent to anyone who's not caught up.

I don't understand why anyone would watch a recap movie unless they're already caught up. Recaps are meant to be refreshers.

Well, if you are familiar with Gundam, their compilation films have more priorities

To be fair, it's safe to say that the overwhelming majority of people watching this are only really going to check out the first few episodes of Season 3 early following the recap movie.

Nothing really new about this practice, it's been done as far back as Evangelion Death & Rebirth.

My point is that the recap being incoherent to anyone not caught up should not negatively affect the score of the movie.

Because media should be able to stand on its own? Because the point of a recap is to catch people up to the story? You're paying a full ass cinema ticket, how is it acceptable for half of the "movie" to be neigh incomprehensible? If they're gonna do a half-assed job at cutting and splicing it all together don't complain about getting a half score
