Survey question;
Quote:
What are your 3 favorite mainstream video game publishers?

^ it asks for 3, but only lets you pick one.

OceanVeil should be added as an anime streaming site

For favorite video game developers, the survey said I was allowed to pick three companies but I was only allowed to pick one. I voted for Capcom my favorite, but if I had another two options it would be Bandai Namco and Nintendo. So maybe give them both a vote in your stats if you want. Also I think the survey needs to be adjusted to say either one company or actually allow you to pick three. My apologies if someone brought this up earlier.

Um there is klnda a lot of really outdated answers and questions on here since it seems the forum and possibly the survey hasn't been updated since 2023. The switch and switch 2 are very much a thing now a days for example

Also may we please all mourn the death of rightstuf and the loss of it's staff that actually did a great job until sony bought them and absorbed them into the corporate hive mind.

I wish that under favorite anime streaming site there was an option for none. Mediocre subs and translations don't make me happy and I've subscribed to most services at one point or another and they all suffer from it in some form or fashion.

And yes, I too mourn the passing of RightStuf. I don't enjoy purchasing from crunchyroll or amazon.

Thanks for the feedback. I've made a few small changes to the survey, you can go ahead and edit your answers.

For the home devices, I've added the Switch 2 (Switch was already there), and removed some Legacy devices (I kept the Vita as it's being phased out right now). I admit, I forgot to update this question.

For streaming platforms, I've added OceanVeil.

Favorite video game publishers pick 3 issue was fixed (by another staff member earlier)

Just finished the survey!!! I would like ANN to explore other lesser well-known topic, and maybe jump into J-pop (I mean ANN is already jumping onto K-pop, and other Hallyu-related stuff like Webtoons, and K-dramas), why not give more J-pop a bit more coverage. Also, I would love ANN to do an in-depth article on why did the global J-pop fandom/fanbase dropped the ball when K-pop started to rise in 2009/2010 and something that I've talked about time and time again.

Noticed a typo that needs updating. The question about traveling with ANN staff asks about a possible trip in the future of 2024.

Probably not a typo but something they forgot to update. It seems the survey used the 2023 survey as base?...

I thought some of the questions in the 2026 survey looks somewhat familiar to me, it's the same set of questions sort of asked back in 2023 and probably 2024 including asking about the future trip to Japan which happened in 2024. Really ANN, are you re-using the questions from past ANN reader survey???

Thank you for giving me the chance to express my opinion and give feedback on your site and the topics you cover. Also thank you for your great weekly coverage of what Light Novels are released each week. I find several new Light Novels to read each year because your weekly list shows what came out that week, and your Encyclopedia gives an informative summary of the Light Novel or Manga I found interesting.

Survey feedback: The question "Of the above, which is your preferred way to watch anime?" doesn't include the "In theatre" option—I know it's pie-in-the-sky thinking, but ideally I could watch all my anime in the theatre!

Why is Buy Anime listed as a site to buy anime goods when it’s been defunct for nearly a year? Dead website, no response to customers who had pre-orders, etc. I guess it technically still could be a place someone used…

Survey also says “would you be interested in ANN trip to Japan in 2024”. It’s 2026…

Definitely a typo.

Be thankful that they did not list "Sol Press" for anything.

And yes I am still mad that my preorder of "Harem Royale - When the Game Ends", Volumes 3 & 4, went unfulfilled. I keep hoping that "Harem Royale" will get saved like "Let This Grieving Soul Retire! (light novel)", "Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement", and "Chivalry of a Failed Knight".
