How is the word "premiere" being used here? I'm not sure about the others, but the "Ghost in the Shell" film was shown at NY Comicon.

Good question, Brian. But if Bandai and the con both want to label it a premiere, I'm not going to call them out on it. Probably something like "anime convention premiere", as opposed to US premiere overall...

Haruhi already premiered at Sakuracon. And Beck is on TV already (here in Canada), but I don't know how that affects the states.

They need to be more specific with using the word premiere. Sakura-con listed Tsubasa as a premiere, but the premiere was at NYCC. Apparently the premiere was for episode 3 and 4 (episode 1 and 2 was shown at NYCC). I'm guessing it's GitS dub premiere (NYCC shown the sub).
