I was wondering, wouldn't it be interesting to see Boogiepop and Others a live action remake? I am not talking about the Japanese live action, but similar to what the U.S. has done to the Ring series. Once the Boogiepop novels are released in the U.S., I would think it would be interesting to see them remade as live action movies.

I would LOVE for Boogipop phantom to be remade into something like a tv series here *can't see it as a movie very well* But then it makes me wonder how much of boogiepop's gruesome horror they could keep with the american senors.
Are there any announcements on english translations of the novels yet?

I don't think that would be a problem. Shows like the X-Files had far more gruesome scenes and they managed to snag beautiful air times.

^.^ Here's to people eating slugs on... oh wait! What am I thinking?! All you need to do is turn on fear factor and you see people eating all kinds of gross stuff to get your stomach rumbling. Yeah, Boogipop probably wouldn't have problems after all. >.>

The American TV viewers don't mind the grossnes-0 as a matter of fact the enjoy it. But if there was a story added on. I don't think it would fare very well....Then again, it could be another X-files and become a hit.

Personally, I can’t see Boogiepop as a movie (live action or not). One of the things that made Boogiepop so amazing was the nonlinear, layered storytellin and the way they broke the episodes up. It seems like that would be lost in a two hour movie.
