it seems all of satoshi's films have a certain .. theme to the music, during and in the ending song.
from millenium actress and paprika mostly, the singing and the sounds are very japanese oriented or.. well i dont know how to describe it it';s just how my ear imagines the msuic. in specific there is the singer who sings in what seems to be an old fashiond way the lyrics, i'm honestly having trouble describing this, but: if u know who the singer i'm talking about is, what's the name of this type of singing, and other songs or cd's i can get that are like this, i would greatlly appriciate it! oh and, i havn't posted in the forums for 3 years now, though i'm here for more then 5 years already
so, hello to everyone : ) [EDIT: Please use the edit button instead of posting behind yourself. It only makes you look desperate. -TK] Last edited by ZipNaB on Mon Jul 09, 2007 6:46 am; edited 2 times in total |

Actually, you'll want to research Susumu Hirasawa, the composer, not Kon.
But yeah, Hirasawa's music is quite peculiar. He specializes in "experimental" techno/synthesizer (if you want to call it that) and has been doing it for at least a couple of decades now. Here is a link to his site, if you want to read more about him and listen to some mp3s. Personally, I love his work, as it has a lot of ambiance and energy to the rhythms and melodies. |
