Sekirei LE AND Artbox? I'm guessing thats supposed to mean it will be able to hold the first season. I'm glad there doing a monthly schedule for Fairy Tail, must be keeping those VAs busy

*Finds a shipping envelope, writes down Funi's address, inserts wallet, puts shipping envelope in mailbox.*
The only two items on this list that jump out that I want to get right away are B Gata H Kei and Sekirei 2. I will have to get the LE for both of them of course. Once the My Bride is a Mermaid set comes out the half sets should get cheaper so I will probably go after the sets instead. Nothing else for January from Funimation. |

So.... nothing.
Great. Son of a bitch. Listen up, FUNimation. I'm patient. I am, but I'm getting really upset I've seen nothing about Shana II and Strike Witches 2. See, this is my wallet. It's wanting to open up so badly for these series, yet now moths are eating all the cash. Best hurry, chop chop, or the moths will win. Note: I understand the delays but they are frustrating as hell and these offerings don't make me all tingly inside. |

Hmmm, fair amount for me. God, I love these S.A.V.E. editions - I really wish other R1 distribs would follow suit. My wallet would be everso thankful. I will definitely be getting Yamada's First Time and Sekirei 2 at some point - not sure I need the LE for either, but we'll see. One Piece eventually. Fairy Tail eventually, when it gets the 26 episodes per set treatment. Phantom, for sure. Kaze no Stigma, Nabari no Ou, Gun X Sword and Tenchi Muyo GXP S.A.V.E. - yep, especially if TRSI has another one of its 50% Funi S.A.V.E. sales. Then you are picking up 2 cours shows for $13.49 (with GotAnime, of course) and you just can't go wrong.

Put Gun X Sword and X (TV) on BD with lossless 5.1 and you've got my money.

So...still no word on Shiki, Princess Jellyfish, C - Control, Hellsing Ultimate, Haibane Renmei, Serial Experiment Lain (or even Steins;Gate).
Oh but look! B Gata H Kei will be out less than six months after being licensed. Well thank god for that! Wouldn't want anyone to have to wait for that gem. |

You know what? If Funimation put these solicitations out early (like they are) because they have a sale going on right now at TRSI, I'd have to give them huge props, 'cause that would be really cool of them. Even though it's not going out of their way to put up solicitations one week early, it's still neat.
Anyways, I'm looking at: Yamada's First Time Combo Hetalia 3 Kaze no Stigma SAVE One Piece 4 Never saw BGHK, but the premise is absurd (though I know not real) and people tend to like it. Plus, I love Brittney Karbowski and the trailer is pretty amusing. Hetalia is a no brainer considering I already have the first two seasons and the movie on order. One Piece is another since I just ordered the first three sets. Kaze no Stigma is a good show. I liked it when I first saw it a few years ago, but I held out since it's just a good show and I knew it'd get the SAVE treatment. Now, if you excuse me, I'm off to make my third TRSI order in the last 4 days. |

@ ikc - I'm pretty sure I remember Funi announcing Shiki for Spring 2012, which I guess means we can expect it as early as the March solicitations (although April is probably the true earliest) and as late as the June solicitations.

Strike Witches 2 was noted as supposedly coming sometime in early 2012. As to Shana II, I would keep my expectation low. It would not surprise me if it doesn't get released until sometime in 2013.
Shiki could be the first to be released on your list. The dubbing for the series has been said to be completed, so the spring 2011 target frame is still possible. Way too soon for [C], last JP release won't be released until this late November. The earliest for this will be mid to late 2012. Princess Jellyfish...last JP release was back in late April. There may be a good chance we may see this spring at the earliest (especially considering who the brand manager for this is). Last Steins;Gate JP volume gets released next February. Best to hope for is late 2012, if not early 2013. There was no chance that this series was going to be released on January '12. Hellsing Ultimate, Haibane Renmei, Serial Experiment Lain still stuck in the Geneon Universal/no source material yet mess. I would hope that for the very least the license rescues gets released sometime in 2012. |

Hey WTK, do you mind if I borrow this info for the actual Right Stuf message boards?
I'll be sure to note it's from you as a source. Also STILL NOTHING about Strike Witches 2??? This is getting really really annoying! Especially since I finally broke down and got Season 1. Doesn't the S.A.V.E. thing mean that those titles might go OOP in the future? Kaze no Stigma might be of interest, since I have been eying it for a possible purchase. |

Agreed. But I think there's a much better possibility of X getting that treatment than GXS, considering popularity. I would imagine for a series like X, the BD would have to be out in Japan first, but then again Funimation has proven this wrong before. |

It's public info. Use as you please.
It depends on how you define OOP. Is FUNimation still having the license and not having it in-print? Or is it both? It's never really clear when/if FUNimation will let a series go until the retailers (namely TRSI and RACS) says/notes something. But I would look at these S.A.V.E. titles at the bottom of the barrel releases. It's not very likely that they will roll out anything cheaper (MSRP wise) of what's offered. I guess anything is possible, especially if you look at the OOP S.A.V.E. release of Mongolian Chop Squad (formerly known as BECK). |

The ongoing Geneon Universal merger process has cause problems getting materials for Shana II and the other Geneon licenses/rescues. |
