We're looking for a few good artists for our programming booklet, badges, and souvenir t-shirt. We may be accepting more than one piece for each item, so multiple submissions are more than welcome.

General Requirements
Theme: Campy 1950's Sci-Fi (think bubble helmets, flying saucers, rayguns, etc.)

References to past designs (not a requirement to stick to that style or to the Girl): http://momoconmedia.googlepages.com/wallpapers

Do not place the text "Momocon 2009" on any submissions. Our internal designers will place that based on final layout of the various materials.

T-Shirt: The shirt itself will be black. No more than 5 additional colors. PSD file type or layered TIFF, with each of the 5 colors as its own layer (if possible). Colors have to be CMYK color space. 8in wide, 10 in tall at the smallest. Up to 3in more in each direction for max dimension.

Badge: 2.5 in wide, 4 in tall. 300dpi resolution in CMYK color space. High quality file types, PSD, TIFF, BMP. No jpeg or compressed files.

Program Book Art: The books are half a page, so 8.5 inch tall, 5.5 inch wide. Image needs to be half in larger in both dimensions, so 9 tall, 6 wide to allow for scaling. 300 dpi, CMYK color space. Images can be larger as long as it maintains that ratio or 3:2 (height:width), so that it may also be used for posters/banners.

Submission deadline: Dec 15, 2008
Submit completed works or questions to: [email protected] with [ART] in the subject line. If files are too big for email, contact me for IM or FTP information for direct transfers.

Artists whose works are accepted will be notified by email as soon as possible after the decision is made. All chosen artists will be fully credited in the program book and will recieve a prize package of anime merchandise.

Well it's that time again...Staff Recruitment & Meeting time! So, if you want to enlist with the MomoCon crew, join us this Sat (24th) from 5pm - 7pm in room 343 of the Georgia Tech Student Center, where the Artists Alley in 2008 was placed. Only 2 more chances after this one; we won't be taking any on-site volunteers this year.

Also, your last chance to join the staff is Sunday March 1st, 3pm in 2008's artist alley room (more info on the website). Not only will you be part of a great team, you'll be eligible for staff only raffle prizes, giveaways, and a most kick-ass after party.

Yeaup, this will be the last meeting where YOU can join up and be a part of the team that runs MomoCon. Staff-only raffles, an after-party, and exclusive give aways are just the surface. You'll gain great experience and have a direct hand in guiding the future direction of the con itself.

Sunday, March 1st: 3pm to 6pm
Room 343 of the Georgia Tech Student Center (where the Artists Alley in 2008 was placed).

Look forward to seeing you there.
( also don't forget to keep checking back at MomoCon.com for updated news and events)

Well folks, with MomoCon only days away, the Staff is in "Red Alert" mode with preparations. We're really pumped about the fun weekend of events we have in store for you: our first band the Extraordinary Contraptions, Seraphina's Otaku Fusion Belly Dancing among our new offerings along with old favorites like the Retro Console Room, Tournaments, Card-Board gaming rooms, panels upon panels galore and more!

Don't let possibility of rain scare you from exploring everything both buildings have to offer. You'll miss out on half the convention if you hideaway in just one. So make that short sprint up the sidewalk to the Instructional Center.

If you've enjoyed our previous opening video parodies: Iron Chef, Law & Order, and Saw, you'll want to grab a seat at opening ceremonies for this year's. It's also the only way to enter the "Farthest From" Contest.

And keep checking our twitter page ( http://twitter.com/MomoCon ) for up to the moment news and updates.

Can't wait to see ya'll there.

Thanks to everyone who braved the cold and wet weather to come by MomoCon 2009. While their were many challenges, the Staff and I had a blast putting it on.

Now we need your suggestions on how to better MomoCon next year. We know there's always room for improvement, and that there's amazing new event ideas floating out there. So drop by the forums: http://www.momoconforums.com/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=26
