With viz new 2nd edition of the No Need For Tenchi Series, not the All New Twnchi Muyo series what is the difference between it and the 1st edition? Is it just smaller and cheeper, or is it unflipped as well?

It's basically the same thing, but because Mr. Okuda has moved to a different weekly magazine in Japan he has made the title change too reflect that. I will guess the size format change was a Viz decision and yes it is flipped as all the previous one's.

Like I said only the title is different. the stories and style are the same, except for the smaller format books. I've also noticed that he has stopped linking some situations to the OVA's with footnotes. I will guess that could be so to not cause any confusion with the new third OVA that has come out in Japan.

You're misreading the question, Mohawk. Apparently Viz is re-issuing the NNFT! (first series) manga at a lower price ($9.95) starting in November. I can't find any other details right now, but I'd guess the only change would be a smaller (Tokyopop-sized) volume, with no restoration to "unflipped".

Yeah, I figured that's what you meant Nobuyuki. Not going to flip it back to normal huh? Probably too much work I suppose - they'd have to re-edit all the text.
I'm not surprised that you can't find any more info tho' - Viz's site is generally pretty lacking in the info department.

Not to long ago, I just finished off my NNFT! collection....well, at least 6 of them I got on sale, the other 6 for around $15 each... It would be nice to have the 2nd editions though because then they would match my All-New Tenchi Muyo! collection. I wouldn't re-buy them though. : p

I thought the question was that there was a second series. My bad eye's have fooled me again. Sorry. It's the reason I love dubs so much.

Viz has already done this with Ranma and Battle Angel. They're repackaging their older manga to the smaller size.
