Trivia:

The original Cutey Honey created by Go Nagai can be considered the precursor to the "Magical Girl" anime and manga genre, being the first to feature a female character who is able to transform from her original appearance into that of another to fight the forces of evil.

in the episode "Prison is the Nest of Evil" Honey transforms in to Sukeban Deka's Saki Asyamiya but they don't call her by name.

For the English dub, creator Go Nagai personally selected Jessica Calvello to play the voice of Honey.

In the Opening for New Cutey Honey you can see the human form of Devilman and Silene the Demon Bird

All of the original claws and Panther Zora are shown in the 2nd opening of New Cutey Honey before Dr. Hell from Mazinger and Akira and Sirene from Devilman make their cameos.

Kousei TOMITA is the only voice actor to have repraise his original role from the original Cutey Honey TV series.

The only animated version of Cutie Honey to not feature Seiji Hayami.

Honey's teacher from the original TV series, Ms. Alphonne, appears in episodes 1 and 8.

Daiko and Akakabu are modeled after the parents from Go Nagai's Oira Sukeban.

Although never mentioned within the series, Daiko is a descendant of Seiji Hayami from the original manga and TV series.

Episode 7 features Akira Fudo from Devilman. There's even a flashback segment that is animated very similar to part of opening credits for Devilman.

In episode 1, you can see Minky Momo standing in a crowd. Before working on New Cutey Honey, Osamu Horiuchi did character designs for the Minky Momo in Yume ni Kakeru Hashi.

In episode 1, you can see a newspaper with the headline "Who Killed Laura Palmer." This is of course a reference to David Lynch's TV series, Twin Peaks.

In episode 1 only, Honey Kisaragi's outfit is colored orange. This could be an homage to her standard outfit from the original TV series.

Naojiro from the original Cutie Honey TV series appears in episode 2.

In episode 2, most of the victims are women from other Go Nagai series. Among them are Sayaka Yumi from Mazinger Z, Kikunosuke Abashiri from the Abashiri Family and Yuka Chigusa from Kekko Kamen.

In episode 2, you can see a Mazinger Z toy as well as a photograph of Honey's father, Dr. Kisaragi.

The Slam King from Violence Jack appears as a mannequin in episode 6.

In episode 7, Honey poses as a wrestler known as "Liger Mask." This is a reference to both Tiger Mask and real-life wrestler Jushin Liger. The way Honey enters the wrestling ring emulates the opening of the original Tiger Mask anime.
