D.C.'s MAGFest to Host Sonic the Hedgehog Composer Yuzo Koshiro

MAGFest, the Washington D.C.-based music and gaming festival announced that video game composer Yuzo Koshiro will attend the event.

Koshiro began working as a video game composer for Nihon Falcom at 18, contributing to the Ys series soundtracks. He founded Ancient Corp. in 1990, going on to compose 8-bit and 16-bit soundtracks for Sonic the Hedgehog and the Sega Genesis beat-em-up series Streets of Rage. His most recent works include the Nintendo DS dungeon-crawler Etrian Odyssey and arcade Wangan Midnight game franchise.

Koshiro will host a panel at MAGFest and perform a full DJ set.

MAGFest is scheduled to take place on January 3-6, 2013 at the Gaylord Hotel & Convention Center in Washington D.C.
