He's a genius, but has a sketchy personality and hates anything bothersome. He can do things when he tries, but his back often gets hurt at crucial moments. In truth, he thinks of Joker and the others as his own real children and grandchildren and cares about them, but he won't admit it due to him being embarrassed.
Naoki Tatsuta as Dogusaburō Oniyama (family name is a pun of the word for 'ogre' or 'demon'), the head of the police department's anti-phantom thief department. His reason in life is to capture Joker, and will go outside of Japan to chase him. He can't talk back to his wife and his daughter Haruka, and they often bring him out on his days off to shop.
Nobuo Tobita (Chibi Maruko-chan, Hakuōki) as Mister Kaneari (name is the equivalent of Mr. Moneybags), the representative of the Gold Group. The new cast will join:
Ayumu Murase (Haikyu!, Majestic Prince) as Joker, a phantom thief aiming for the world's treasure who is sometimes called "Miracle-Maker." His pride as a phantom thief is very large, and because of this, he leaves his calling card before stealing treasures, and only chooses items to steal that are of high value to himself. In his private life, he despises anything troublesome, and he hates doing laundry and cleaning up. When he has free time, he spends it rolling around lazily, watching TV, reading manga, and playing video games (especially action games). He's very bad with cats.
Yumiko Kobayashi (Love Hina, Soul Eater) as Hachi, Joker's assistant. A thief who is a little clumsy. Although he was born and raised in a ninja village, he was a clumsy failure. He has a laid-back personality, but his sense of justice is stronger than anyone, and is kind and has a sense of duty. He makes sure to properly support Joker, who is a bit unreliable. He is very good at housework, and has the cooking skills of a pro chef.
Hiro Shimono (Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts, Tonari no Seki-kun) as Spade, Joker's rival. A smart phantom thief who plans by collecting and researching information before acting. He is very prideful in a different way from Joker, and is a bit of a Narcissist. He sometimes says cold words that scare people away, but his respect toward someone he has recognized as worthy is deep. When he acts up to much, he often gets a fever.
Miyuki Sawashiro (Galaxy Angel, K: Missing Kings) as Queen, the grandchild of Silver Heart, and a female phantom thief who trained alongside Joker and Spade. Energetic and a tomboy, she is also a cheerful girl who doesn't care about little things. Due to her strong sense of justice, she often gets into trouble. She is bad at cooking, but she is very skilled at using a knife. Due to her strong respect toward Silver Heart, it was her dream to collect treasures from all around the world. However, it seems that dream has changed.
The TV anime will premiere in Japan on October 6.
