Screenings in LA, SF, NYC before March 31 DVD/Digital HD/on Demand release

The distribution company Ketchup Entertainment is streaming an English-dubbed trailer for its March 31 release of the 3D anime film Space Pirate Captain Harlock via DVD, Digital HD, and Video on Demand. The release (under the title Harlock: Space Pirate) will have both English dubbing and subtitles.

Ketchup Entertainment will screen the film in 3D with English dubbing at the AMC Universal CityWalk in Los Angeles on March 25. The film will then play on March 26 at the AMC Van Ness 14 in San Francisco, and at the AMC Loews Village 7 in New York City.

Director Shinji Aramaki's CG film adapted Leiji Matsumoto's classic Captain Harlock manga with Toei Animation's highest production budget ever at the equivalent of more than 30 million U.S. dollars. Shun Oguri and Haruma Miura star in the Japanese voice cast as the title pirate and the new character Yama, respectively.

Netflix is also streaming the movie with Japanese or Spanish audio and with English or Spanish subtitles.
