posted on by Karen Ressler
The official website for Marvelous, Inc.'s Fate/Extella action game for PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4 officially revealed Saber class servant Artoria Pendragon (voiced by Ayako Kawasumi) on Monday. Marvelous, Inc. posted a video last month teasing Artoria's addition to the game.
In addition, the website on Thursday announced that the game will ship in Japan on November 10.
The game will have a premium limited edition with both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita editions, a "Saber Bride" 3D mouse pad, Fate/Extella material, and download codes for a "bondage wedding dress" outfit for Nero Claudius and an unspecified outfit for Gilgamesh. The PS4 and PS Vita editions will also each get a separate limited edition with the Fate/Extella material and a DLC: the PS4 limited edition will offer the Nero Claudius outfit DLC while the PS Vita limited edition will offer the Gilgamesh outfit DLC.
First print copies of the game will come with a "purity night dress" DLC outfit for Nero Claudius or Artoria Pendragon.
Marvelous also posted a soundless video last week with a preview of the gameplay:
The "high speed servant action" will feature battles to control territory. Characters will have special attacks called "Extella Maneuvers."
Kinoko Nasu is writing the game's main scenario, and Hikaru Sakurai is the scenario assistant. Aruko Wada is designing the characters, and Takashi Takeuchi is credited as the Fate series original character designer. Type-Moon is producing the game's music.
Previously revealed servants include the Saber class servants Nero Claudius (voiced by Sakura Tange) and Attila (voiced by Mamiko Noto), Caster class servant Tamamo no mae (voiced by Chiwa Saitō), and Archer class servants Mumei ("no name," voiced by Junichi Suwabe) and Gilgamesh (voiced by Tomokazu Seki).
No western release has been announced, but XSEED Games registered the "FateExtella.com" domain name.
Marvelous Entertainment and Type-Moon released the Fate/Extra PlayStation Portable game in Japan in 2010. Aksys Games released the game in North America in November 2011. The Fate/Extra CCC companion game shipped in Japan on the PSP in March 2013.
