FUNimation Entertainment announced the English dub cast for Chain Chronicle: The Light of Haecceitas (Chain Chronicle: Haecceitas no Hikari) on Monday. The cast includes:

Ballard is also serving as ADR Director, and Nicholas Hernandez is serving as ADR engineer.

The English dub will premiere on Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. EST. The series premiered in Japan on January 7, and Crunchyroll is streaming the series in Japanese with English subtitles as it airs in Japan.

Masashi Kudo (Kyō no Asuka Show, Hayate the Combat Butler! Cuties, Ikki Tousen: Extravaganza Epoch) is directing the anime and designing the characters at Telecom Animation Film and Graphinica. Touko Machida (Allison & Lillia, The IDOLM@STER, Chaika the Coffin Princess) is supervising the scripts. Daisuke Jinba (Kannagi: Crazy Shrine Maidens, Kimi ni Todoke - From Me to You, anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day) is in charge of art direction. Masato Kōda (Arpeggio of Blue Steel - Ars Nova, Maria the Virgin Witch, KonoSuba – God’s blessing on this wonderful world!!) is composing the music, and Shōji Hata (Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal, Fairy Tail, One-Punch Man) is in charge of sound direction. Takeo Ogiwara (Princess Tutu, Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo, Penguindrum) is director of photography.

The series adapts Sega's Chain Chronicle smartphone game. Crunchyroll and Funimation describe the story:

This is the story of the Chain Chronicle, a book that describes everything that happens in the world.

The citizens of the remote continent of Yggd once thought that there was nothing beyond their continent. The continent was divided into several regions, each with its own king. Though there were small skirmishes amongst them, a lord, chosen by the kings in conference, always maintained balance -- until the evil Black Army arrived.

"All will be engulfed in black."

The Volunteer Army, led by Yuri, was no match for the Black Army. During the fighting, the Lord of Black captures half of the Chain Chronicle, as well as the capital. During their retreat, Yuri and the Volunteer Army encounter a boy fighting the Black Army all by himself.

So begins the story of the Chain Chronicle, of the Volunteer Army's and Black Army's battles for the fate of the world, and of friendship.

The Chain Chronicle anime project also has a theatrical version, which is split into three films with each film screening in a two-week limited engagement in theaters. The first film debuted in Japan on December 3, the second debuted on January 14, and the third film will debut on February 11. Each of the three anime films has the same story content as four television episodes. Crunchyroll streamed the first film in December and the second film in January, and is scheduled to stream the third film in February. The stream will be available worldwide outside of Asia.

Nao Tōyama is performing the film version's opening theme song "Chain the world," and also performing the television broadcast's ending theme song "True Destiny." Nano is performing the film version's ending theme song "PARAISO," and is also performing the television broadcast's opening theme song "My Liberation."
