Chrono Trigger Launches for Steam

Square Enix launched its Chrono Trigger RPG for PC via Steam on Tuesday. The company streamed a launch trailer.
The game is available for US$14.99, and a limited edition will be available until April 2. The limited edition includes a soundtrack medley consisting of five songs, digital liner notes from composer Yasunori Mitsuda, and six wallpapers.
The port features updated graphics for higher resolutions, and Matsuda supervised updates to the music. The game can be controlled via touch screen or the keyboard. It also features Toei Animation's animated cut scenes, and the "Dimensional Vortex" and the "Lost Sanctum" dungeons originally from the Nintendo DS version of the game.
The classic 1995 fantasy game features character designs by Dragon Ball manga creator Akira Toriyama. Chrono Trigger launched for the Nintendo DS in 2008 and smart devices in 2011.
