Genius Lover, Girls' Night Out manga also licensed

Indonesian publisher M&C! announced on Monday that it has licensed Ren Koizumi's Embrace My First Love (Hatsukoi o Dakishimeru), Mochi-Usagi's Seven Colors Change (Nanairo Change), Mio Nanao's Genius Lover (Watashi wa Tensai o Katteiru.), and Ira Ozaki's Girls' Night Out (Shinya no Dame Koi Zukan) manga. The company will release Embrace My First Love and Seven Colors Change, as well as the first volumes of Genius Lover and Girls' Night Out, on March 28.

Embrace My First Love collects four short stories that Koizumi published in Shogakukan's Sho-Comi magazine. The title story consists of three chapters, and centers on Akane, a girl who goes to a cram school and falls in love with Masaomi, a college student and part-time teacher at the cram school. However, Masaomi still remembers his girlfriend who passed away, and can't look at Akane as anything more than just a student.

Shogakukan published the book in December 2016. The other short stories in the book include "Arigatō, Sayōnara, Aishiteru" (Hello, Goodbye, I Love You), "Sora no Kizuato" (The Scar in the Sky), and "Kimi ni Tsutaetai Koto ga Arunda" (I Have Something to Tell You).

M&C! previously published Koizumi's Tears of Love - I Didn't Mean for It to Happen- and First Time of Love and Broken Heart manga in August and September 2016, respectively. The company also published Koizumi's The Star on Which We Vow Our Love manga last May.

Seven Colors Change collects three short stories that Mochi-Usagi published in Shogakukan's Ciao magazine. The title story contains two chapters, and centers on Yotsuba, a girl who receives a gift of a magical perfume from her father. The perfume allows her to change forms for only an hour. When her childhood friend Iori finds out about it, they begin to grow closer.

Shogakukan published the book in March 2017. The other short stories in the book include "Kirameki Tennen Ishi Densetsu" (The Legend of the Sparkling Natural Stone) and "Animal Panic."

Mochi-Usagi ended the Aikatsu! Go! Go! Go! manga in January 2016. The manga launched in May 2015. M&C! previously published Mochi-Usagi's Kotori Familia manga last October, and published The Devilish Love (Koiakuma Momo) last May.

Genius Lover centers on Konoka Ichinose, an intelligent and kind girl of many talents, and the daughter of the president of an internationally-renowned IT company, which has earned her the reputation of being out of most people's league. She has a childhood friend named Kairi Sagara, who people say has no real skill, and that Konoka only keeps around as a "pet" for his looks. But Kairi has a secret: he is a genius that led the company of Konoka's father from humble beginnings to an industry giant. To ensure his continued employment, he has three secret conditions that he secured from Konoka's father.

Nanao launched the manga in Shogakukan's Cheese! magazine in March 2016. Shogakukan published the manga's fifth compiled book volume last September. The manga won in the Girls' Category for the Electronic Manga Award earlier this year.

M&C! previously published Nanao's My Shikigami Lover (Shikigami Danshi) and My Handsome Mangaka (Pen Saki ni Syrup) manga.

Girls' Night Out centers on three women: Madoka Koga, who maintains her fierce attitude from her delinquent days, but is still a virgin; Chiyo Fukuma, a woman who treats shōjo manga as bibles for romance; and Sawako Chidori, a woman who can't help but always fall for poor excuses for men. The manga centers on the three women who meet each other while carousing at night, telling each other bad stories of men they have met or dated.

Ozaki published the manga in tankōbon form first in April 2015. She launched a serialization of the manga in Shogakukan's Petit Comic magazine in October of that same year. Shogakukan published the manga's third compiled book volume last September. The manga ranked #2 in Honya Club "Zenkoku Shotenin ga Eranda Osusume Comic 2017" (Nationwide Bookstore Employees' Recommended Comics of 2017) poll last year.

M&C! previously published Ozaki's A Beautiful Girl's Secret (Kirei na Onee-san no Naisho no Hanashi), Let's Paint Our Happy End (Egaku nara Happy End), The Moment After We Kissed (Kimi to Kiss Shite Sono Ato de), and Moon's Fever (Otsuki-sama no Binetsu) manga.
