Singaporean events company Sozo, the organizer of the Anime Festival Asia conventions, announced on Friday that it has postponed the Hong Kong event for Anime Festival Asia, with no new date announced. The statement noted that Sozo is currently finalizing a new date for the event.

The event was originally scheduled to take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center on February 14 and 15, 2026.

The convention previously held events in Hong Kong from 2017 to 2019, in collaboration with the C3 Japan Anime & Game Expo, making the upcoming convention the first AFA event in Hong Kong in seven years.

Japanese publisher and media conglomerate Kadokawa acquired Sozo earlier this month, with Sozo becoming a consolidated subsidiary of Kadokawa.
