Scotland Loves Anime Festival Will Return To Glasgow, Edinburgh, London In 2026

Dates confirmed for Glasgow (from November 6 to 8) and Edinburgh (from November 16 to 22)


The Scotland Loves Anime festival has announced on its X/Twitter feed that the event will return in 2026, with dates confirmed for Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Scotland Loves Anime will run at the Glasgow Film Theatre in November 6 to 8, and then at the Edinburgh Filmhouse from November 16 to 22. The festival will also come to London, with the date and venue details TBC.

The festival began in 2010, running annually until 2019. During the Covid pandemic, there was an online festival in 2021, and the festival returned in full in 2022. 2024 was the first year in which the festival had a run in London.

The most recent festival was from October to November 2025, including screenings of All You Need Is Kill, Lupin the IIIrd: The Immortal Bloodline, ChaO, The Last Blossom and 100 Meters. Guests at the event included Takeshi Koike (the director of Redline and Lupin the IIIrd: The Immortal Bloodline), Kenichiro Akimoto (the director of All You Need Is Kill) and Yasuhiro Aoki (the director of Chao).
