Summon Night 5 Physical Version Presale Announced

SUMMON NIGHT 5 PHYSICAL VERSION PRESALE ANNOUNCED
Now Includes Complete Original Soundtrack CD

Redding, CA (July 31, 2015)—Fans of Japanese role-playing games will be treated to a very special bonus when GAIJINWORKS publishes the critically acclaimed strategy/RPG Summon Night 5 for Sony's PSPTM system this Fall: Physical copies of the game will come bundled with the game's complete original soundtrack on CD.

Beginning next week, and running until the next full moon, fans and collectors worldwide can visit the GAIJINWORKS Web site at www.gaijinworks.com to purchase reservation codes guaranteeing them an English-language physical copy of Summon Night 5, packed with numerous extras in the GAIJINWORKS tradition. Retail price for the game and bundled CD will be $41.99 plus a $5 shipping charge for the US. (International destinations are an additional charge.)

Note that this presale represents the only opportunity for players to score a physical copy of Summon Night 5 on UMDTM. Both the game and the soundtrack CD will be manufactured in strictly limited quantities, with the production numbers being determined by the presale demand. Once the presale is completed, the game will only be available digitally, without the music CD and all the other bonus goodies included with the physical copies.

“This is a big deal for us,” says GAIJINWORKS founder Victor Ireland. “The Summon Night 5 soundtrack CD is already scarce in Japan, where it's selling for as much as $80 on the secondary market. Fans rarely get a full OST bundled with a console game, and it's virtually unprecedented to get one with a handheld game—especially at this price point.”

“This isn't a sampler," Ireland explains. “It's not just some ‘selections’ from the game, it's the full Japanese OST, an almost unheard-of addition to any game release in the North American market.”

The game's music was written, arranged and performed by Pure Sound, Inc., a team of Japanese musicians who have contributed to the soundtracks of previous Summon Night games as well as Yggdra Union, Riviera: The Promised Land and several games in the Pokémon series.

In addition to the 37-track music CD, retail copies of Summon Night 5 will include the game on UMDTM with a full-color label, a full-color manual, a multi-sided case insert, one of two giant 19" x 14" posters and a serial numbered hologram on the back of the game box. Those who purchase a physical copy will also be emailed a code to download the full Summon Night 5 game when it becomes available on the North American PlayStationTMNetwork (a necessary option for play on the PS Vita, which has no UMDTM drive).

Originally published in Japan by Bandai Namco Entertainment, Summon Night 5 tells stories of the Eucross, a group of summoners who maintain order and balance between parallel worlds bathed in magic that ebbs and flows based on the phase of the moon. The playable characters are Arca (a female summoner) and Folth (male). Both are Eucross “rookies,” but their preternatural skills and charisma allow each of them to “Cross” successfully with any of four different partners: Dyth, Kagerou, Spinel and Pariet. Players can experience as many as eight different branches and variations of the story in repeated playthroughs, with different story arcs and Cross abilities that are determined by their choice of playable character and partner.

Summon Night 5 is currently scheduled for release in the Fall of 2015. For more information, visit www.summonnight5.com.

ABOUT GAIJINWORKS
GAIJINWORKS is comprised of key award-winning ex-Working Designs staff who focus on continuing a tradition of quality localization and innovative fan service for games in both the digital and physical media markets. The company's current focus involves “rescuing” key Japanese role-playing games by bringing them to the English-speaking world before console manufacturers discontinue their support of the hardware that plays them, i.e. before the games become “trapped” in Japan forever. Recent GAIJINWORKS initiatives include exploring a digital/physical hybrid release model that satisfies collectors as well as the general fanbase for the games they release.
